A shoe company you can talk to, since 2014!

New Year and New Beginnings

Meet the Team

It's a new year and some new members have been added to the SOM Team, so we would like to take a minute to introduce everyone to you.

SOM Team Hello

Olie - Co-founder and CEO: Olie is our shoemaker and the guy who started this adventure when he realizes that a more common sense pair of shoes could solve his back issues and let him go back to running, his favorite activity at the time. He touches every pair that is made.

Nathalie - Co-founder and CFO: Nathalie is the business mind and the one who makes sure that our customers will be well served.

Crystal - Customer Communication Specialist: Crystal started with us in October and she handles all of your customer service needs! If you need help, feel free to reach out! She is your go-to solution person when a problem arises during the order process. She is the creative communicator that brings you news from the shoe factory.

Grimma - Seamstress: Grimma has been with us since 2014 and sews SOM’s together! She is the one who oversees the perfection in every stitch and improves the quality of our models. She is very attentive to details and makes sure the quality control is done every step of the way. We are pleased to congratulate Grimma who just became an American citizen.

Shauna - Seamstress: Shauna just started with us in January and she helps Grimma in the sewing process. She is very particular to learn and meet SOM’s quality sewing standards.

Tyler - Production: Tyler has been with us since 2016. He runs our production and helps put the final pieces together in your SOM’s and does the final quality control before boxing.

Other members of our team include photographer En Tao, graphics-designer Sophie, production consultant Doug, equipment solver Mark and Bond, super editor Shirley, business moral support and advisers Richard and Bill, financial advisors Joey and Gary, business advisor Jim, and many others who we prefer to keep anonymous but who are equally precious to SOM.

Always here to help

Each of us is dedicated to serving you, providing you with a quality pair of shoes along with quality customer service. We fuel on your testimonials and it is always a pleasure to take the time together to read them. It cheers us up and reinforces why we are working hard to make the best shoes we can. Remember we are always here to help! Feel free to reach out at any time with any questions or concerns you might have by phone, email, or social media. (Email is our preferred way of contact)
